Honours Through the Years

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has long stood as one of Nigeria’s most decorated and iconic football institutions. From dominating the domestic scene to breaking continental barriers, the Oluyole Warriors have built a history defined by resilience, triumph, and unforgettable moments.

Domestic Achievements

At home, 3SC has been a powerhouse of Nigerian football. The club has lifted the Nigerian Premier League title five times, 1976, 1980, 1983, 1995, and 1998, proving its ability to evolve and succeed across generations.

The Nigerian FA Cup is also part of our story, with victories in 1971 (as WNDC), 1977, 1979, and 1995. Each triumph added another layer to our rich domestic dominance and brought immense pride to Ibadan and beyond.

Continental Glory

Shooting Stars is not just a name in Nigeria, it is etched in African football history. In 1976, we became the first Nigerian club to win a continental trophy, lifting the prestigious African Cup Winners’ Cup. This milestone marked the beginning of Nigeria’s rise in African club football.

The club continued to shine on the continental stage, winning the CAF Cup in 1992 and finishing as runners-up in the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1984 and 1996. These achievements cemented our reputation as a team capable of competing with Africa’s elite.

Regional Success

Our dominance also extended to West Africa. In 1998, 3SC conquered the region by lifting the West African Club Championship (UFOA Cup) , once again showcasing the warrior spirit that defines our identity.
