Our persistence paid off just ten minutes later when Ekeocha Chukwudi brought us level with a composed finish following sustained pressure and fluid build-up play. The equalizer shifted the tempo of the game, with Shooting Stars taking control of possession and dictating the rhythm.

We created a number of opportunities before the break, but the visitors remained compact and disciplined in their defensive shape, relying on counterattacks to relieve pressure.

After the restart, we continued to push forward with determination. Ikuowem Utin came close with a header that drifted just wide, while Sodiq Ibrahim tested the Katsina United goalkeeper from range as we sought the go-ahead goal.

In the 61st minute, Adams Mustapha replaced Ismail Ayodele to add more energy down the flank. Later, in a final push for victory, Chidiebere Nnachi and Wasiu Ganiyu were brought on in the 78th minute for Qamar Adegoke and Sodiq Ibrahim, providing pace and creativity in the closing stages.

Despite our attacking intent and dominance in possession, Katsina United’s backline stood firm, frustrating our efforts and ensuring both sides shared the points at full-time.
