We continue our 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign this Sunday with a trip to Ozoro, where we face Warri Wolves in a Matchday 6 encounter at the Southern Delta University Main Bowl. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM.
We head into this fixture on the back of our first win of the season, a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Kun Khalifat FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium last weekend. That crucial result ended a four-game winless run and has injected renewed confidence into the squad.
Coach Nurudeen Aweroro and his technical crew will be looking to build on that momentum and continue our climb up the NPFL table. The team has been growing in cohesion with every match, showing a strong blend of youthful energy and experienced leadership that is making us more dynamic and resilient.
Our hosts, Warri Wolves, will also have a point to prove after suffering a narrow 1–0 defeat away to El-Kanemi Warriors in their last outing. Under the guidance of Coach Aluma Napoleon, they’ve developed a reputation for disciplined defending and sharp counter-attacks, especially at home, where they are yet to concede a goal this season.
For us, Mustapha Lawal returns to the matchday squad and is expected to reclaim his position between the sticks. Qamar Adegoke also returns to boost our attacking options. The likes of Promise Awosanmi and Ayobami Junior, who impressed in our last outing, will once again be key to driving creativity and tempo in the final third.
In defence, Kabir Tijani is expected to anchor the backline, providing both stability and leadership. The entire squad has trained with intensity all week, with every player focused on maintaining the momentum from last weekend’s performance.
For Warri Wolves, expect familiar names such as Ogbu Chisom, Vincent Edafe, David Joseph, and Prince Ebhohon to play vital roles. Right-back Godwin Oham has also been a standout performer this season, contributing both defensively and offensively.
This fixture promises to be tightly contested. We will be aiming to consolidate on our first win and secure our first away victory of the campaign, while Warri Wolves will look to defend their home record and bounce back from their last defeat.
Discipline, focus, and clinical finishing will be crucial. With renewed belief and growing confidence, we are determined to deliver another strong performance and return home with all three points.
